First Week of November

Dear Family,

It seemed like a long week that went by quickly. Thursday I had a stomach flu. On Saturday we took the girls to the doctor as Abby was complaining of a sore throat and had a cough. Sarah had been wheezing and her medication didn’t seem to be working. It seems they both had sinus infections lingering from the flu they had about two weeks ago. They both got antibiotics and we got some better information on giving Sarah her asthma medicine. Today Eric has been under the weather. I sure hope the whole winter isn’t like this. On Monday we met with Abby’s teacher for parent conferences. She is doing very well. She received an award on Thursday for her behavior and academic progress. Each teacher gives two awards each quarter for students who make the most progress and so Abby was one her teacher chose! To cap off the week, Abby lost her second tooth tonight after her nap. It was a little more painful for her than the first one, but definitely ready to come out. She is excited for the tooth fairy to visit again.

Sarah is becoming more and more her own person. She has been taking very good care of her baby this week. It was fun to watch her hold her baby on her shoulder this afternoon as she looked through toy catalogs that had come in the newspaper. She loves to go to the sitter and play with her friends. I think we’ve finally turned the corner with potty training. Sarah has been in panties now for three days with no accident! Yay!!

Love,
Us
