Abby had swimming lessons this week. (Pictures on our blog ericmelissagreen.blogspot.com) She did a great job of blowing underwater and even did some running starts to jump off the diving board. She’s quite proficient at floating on her back now.
We only did about 4 fireworks last night before the wind and a bit of rain started, so we’re staying up again tonight to finish the fun. At least the girls took naps today and we’ve had a better evening than yesterday. The visit from Grandpa Ewell tonight helped distract a bit from the waiting jitters.
We canned some ground beef and chicken breast this weekend. We’ve had the chicken breast before, which is very convenient, but it is a first for the ground beef. We hope it will be easy for sauces and casseroles. I made the first zucchini bread of the season with our first zucchini today. It was delicious.
